This site collects very little. This page says exactly what, and what happens to it.
01Scope
This policy covers this website and the forms on it.
CMD Consulting Pty Ltd runs the site. We are an engineering consultancy in Brisbane, Australia.
It does not cover other companies’ websites that we link to.
02Collection
One form on this site collects personal information. It is the paper download form.
That form asks for three things: your name, your company, and your email address.
There are no other fields. Nothing is collected from you anywhere else on the public site.
Clients with a sign-in also give us an email address and a password. Sign-ins are issued by us, not opened to the public.
When a client uses the calculator, we record the mill details they entered. Those describe equipment, not a person.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. Those include your IP address, and they exist to serve and protect the site.
03Limits
This site runs no analytics. We do not track visitors, and we do not count them.
There are no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, and no third-party scripts of any kind.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising.
Two tools here store nothing at all. The quote page builds an email in your own mail program and sends us nothing by itself.
The girth-gear sizing calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into it reaches us.
04Cookies
This site sets cookies only when you sign in. They keep you signed in, and do nothing else.
If you never sign in, this site sets no cookies.
There is no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
05Location
Your information is stored in a database in Sydney, Australia.
The servers that run this site also run in Sydney.
Our hosting and database providers are United States companies. They operate those servers for us and can reach them.
06Access
Mike Daniel reads the enquiries and the download requests. Access is limited to CMD people who need it.
The website itself cannot read them back.
The database accepts new records and returns none. That is deliberate, and we tested it.
So if this site were ever compromised, the records already stored could not be read out through it.
07Retention
We keep your details until you ask us to delete them.
We do not set an expiry date. A mining purchase can take years, and enquiries often come back.
If you would rather we did not hold them, say so and we will remove them.
08Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it, or to delete it.
Email Mike. We will do it, and confirm when it is done.
There is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason.
